Data center is a core part of any IT infrastructure company, which provides platform for all the core devices, servers, storage and protect them to keep running properly. PTCL Egerton road fire incident which took place in September, 2014 has caused millions of rupees damage to PTCL infrastructure and assets along with the service degradation to the customers. Building a Data center form scratch is a challenge considering the time frame that is available when the services are already down.

AGCN Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. subsidiary of National Technology Group (NTG) Saudi Arabia with Emerson as the principal partner proposed a POD based design to PTCL with the latest technologies of security. PTCL Garden Town (GTN) Data center was built to replace the Egerton road exchange Data center and to be the primary site of all the aggregation services of Pakistan’s central region in 2015.

Cold-aisle containment system is installed to get maximum energy saving.

Precision Cooling System:
Precision cooling system offers effective and sensible cooling and are more energy efficient.

Fire Detection and Suppression System:
NOVEC 1230 is installed which is the safest and recommended suppression agent.

Emergency Exit Passage:
Emergency exit passage is built for the smooth evacuation in case of any hazard.

Network Operation Center (NOC):
A dedicated NOC area for 24/7 Data Center monitoring.

Environmental Monitoring System:
IP-based environmental monitoring and surveillance system is installed.
